Holland Months 3-5
I’m working to piece together a few of my favorite pictures and videos from the last few months. I’m getting a little sad that my baby is already 5 months old. February through March was so fun with our little girl! Holland started talking much more. She loves to talk when I’m on the phone and she’s become much better at grabbing things. We’ve had a great time spending our days playing with all types of toys, including stacking rings, crinkle books, mirrors, and cards. Holland isn’t into her swing much anymore and seems to be too big for it now. She really likes to sit up, but still needs a little help to sit. She absolutely loves to be upright to see people.
Holland celebrated her first Valentine’s Day! Her great grandparents got her an angel doll and a teddy bear to celebrate! She grew right out of these pants almost immediately after wearing them. We had just moved her into her 6-month onesies just before her 3-month birthday. Now she’s still in 6-month size but filling her clothes out well and she moved into size 2 diapers.
Holland got her 4-month shots. She did a great job and got a healthy report from the doctor. This was the first time I took her in the car by myself!
Holland went on her first flight at just over 4 months old. We were very nervous about the flights, but she did amazing and we got a trip to Maui out of it!
In Maui, Holland loved riding around the resort grounds in her stroller. We tried out the kiddie pool and the beach. She was still too young to really enjoy either, but she seemed to have a great time with me and Reed getting lots of attention.
Holland loves her bath so much that sometimes she falls asleep in it.
Going to Maui made us realize just how much Holland likes to go out and see people. We started taking her out on errands to the store. The first place I took her by myself other than the doctor was a quick mall trip at 4 months old and then I tried out Costco.
Holland loves to be funny and acts like she’s making jokes by blowing tons of spit! She seems to be pretty shy around new people, but she’s very loud around her mom and dad. She’s still a great sleeper. Thankfully we did not have a 4-month sleep regression!
Holland also went to the zoo for the first time just before turning 5 months old. She didn’t really notice animals yet, but she did a great job and enjoyed the pretty day.
Holland also celebrated her first Easter! She got a basket with some books and a teether toy. She also met Ike, but she didn’t like him that much. I’m looking forward to when she can understand Easter and go on her first egg hunt.
These months brought so much bonding time for us and I’ll always look back and feel like these times were bliss. I thank God for giving me this sweet baby. I feel like time is moving too fast and I want to spend forever with my baby girl. It’s been wonderful to see her grow so attached to me and Reed during these last months.
