We spent a little over a week in Maui and I was surprised by how beautiful the island was. I normally like to visit places without the intention of going back soon, but I want to go back to Maui or another Hawaiian island as soon as possible! We learned a lot about traveling with an infant on this vacation and it was great! Here are some highlights that I’d like to blog about from this trip

  • Road to Hana- We took a day without the baby to try out this winding road along Maui’s east side. On this adventure, we visited a black sand beach and a red sand beach as well as many waterfalls.
  • Hyatt Regency Maui- This was a family-friendly resort with beautiful gardens, penguins, and other exotic birds, multiple pools, and an awesome beach.
  • Dining, snorkeling, and beach time with a baby. We loved that it wasn’t too hot outside!
  • The overall experience of traveling to Hawaii with a 4-month-old

Hawaii with 4-month-old

Hawaii has regulations to follow for visiting, and we got our negative COVID tests uploaded to hawaii.gov and wore maks while walking in public areas. Overall I didn’t feel like the mask-wearing took anything away from our visit, which felt like a much-needed getaway. It was freeing to finally step out with our baby and allow her to experience new things. I can’t wait to share more about this kid-friendly destination!
